System | Material to be sound-insulated | Efficiency, dB | Total thickness, mm | Noises to be reduced | Super power and its application | |
ZIPS Floor Vector | Foam concrete, brick, tongue-and-groove block | Additional airborne sound isolation index: ΔLn,w=28 dB | Additional airborne sound insulation index ΔRw 6-8 dB | 53 | Talking, TV, radio | The thinnest panel of the ZIPS family. More often is used for sound-insulation of walls and partitions. |
ZIPS Floor Modul | Brick, concrete | Additional airborne sound isolation index: ΔLn,w=32 dB | Additional airborne sound insulation index ΔRw = 7-9 dB | 109.5 | Loud talking, shouting, TV, dog barking, water noise | Most efficient panel of the ZIPS Floor family. Used for additional insulation of intermediate flooring. |
Installation of the panel system ZIPS must be carried out in strict accordance with the installation manual.
Composition and description
ZIPS Floor Vector sound-insulating system consists of 50 mm thick ZIPS Floor Vector sandwich panels, 16.5 mm (0.6 in) thick ZIPS DB acoustic triplex, and an 18 mm (0.7 in) plywood layer.
ZIPS Floor Vector sandwich panels are two-layer sandwiches consisting of a combination of a "hard" layer of gypsum plasterboard (GPB) and a "soft" layer of basalt mineral fiber, with built-in vibration supports made of Sylomer material.
Storage
ZIPS Floor Vector panels must be stored in dry, enclosed premises, away from any precipitation.
The panels should be stacked horizontally on wooden pallets, boards, or other padding materials to avoid sagging.
