Impactodan
Cross-linked polyethylene foam impact insulation under a floating screed.
Cross-linked polyethylene foam impact insulation under a floating screed — 5 / 10 mm.
Impactodan
Impactodan is a cross-linked polyethylene foam sheet whose closed-cell structure provides exceptional physical and mechanical properties. It is used for the acoustic insulation of impact (deck) noise in buildings, decoupling a floating screed from the structural floor. It offers high fatigue resistance and easy installation; its use is guaranteed by DIT No. 439 (439R/22) from the Spanish building-science institute 'Eduardo Torroja'.
Available in two thicknesses — Impactodan 5 and Impactodan 10 — differing in impact-noise improvement and airborne insulation (pick the variant in the selector).
Used for airborne and impact sound insulation in floor slabs between different users in residential buildings, for sound insulation when renovating floors in dwellings, and to complement floating-floor insulation across low, medium and high frequencies in commercial premises.
Impact-noise insulation
Impact-sound insulation L'nT,w < 65 dB in the system.
Airborne insulation
DnTA > 50 dBA (Impactodan 5) and > 55 dBA (Impactodan 10).
Flexible, fast install
High flexibility avoids the use of filling mortars; easy and quick to install.
Low thickness
Low thickness, high performance; use backed by DIT No. 439R/22 (Eduardo Torroja).
Thermal comfort
Good thermal conductivity ensures thermal comfort.
Vapour & damp barrier
Acts as a vapour and dampness barrier.
