ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST is specially designed for installing floating floors on uneven ceilings of large areas. FLOOR-PLAST is applied manually or mechanically directly to the suspended ceiling in a layer of 10-30 mm, which ensures the stability of the acoustic properties of the sound-insulating floor even if there are bumps and residues of reinforcement, pipes or cables (up to 10 mm).
Composition and packaging
The mixture contains polystyrene foam granules treated with various technologies, a compensating rubber additive and an acrylic-based synthetic binder. FLOOR-PLAST ready-to-use mixture is packed in 13 kg plastic bags. In the case of a 20 mm layer, one bag is enough for a surface of 10 m2.
Features
- irregularities of up to 15 mm (if h = 20 mm) are allowed on the surface of the false ceiling
- Ease and speed of application - complete polymerization of the mixture takes 48 hours
- the sinking does not exceed 10% when the load is within 5 MPa
Impact noise insulation
Acoustic tests have been performed at the Moscow Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Moscow Acoustics Laboratory of Scientific Research in Building Physics.
Mixture type | Layer thickness, mm | Surface density of the screed, kg / m2 | Impact noise reduction index, Ln, w dB |
ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST 10 | 10 | 120 | 24 |
ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST 20 | 20 | 120 | 28 |
ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST 20 | 20 | 160 | 32 |
Airborne sound insulation
The additional airborne noise insulation rate of the 20 mm layer of the ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST mixture under the screed layer with a surface density of 120 kg / m2 is ΔRW = 7-9 dB.
Certificates
ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST coating material is certified and has passed acoustic tests.
Installation
Before applying the mixture with a layer with a standard thickness (20 mm), construction debris with a fraction of more than 10 mm must be removed from the surface of the ceiling. ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST is applied to the surface manually or mechanically. The mixture is also applied to all adjacent walls and posts at a height slightly above the level of the screed to prevent the formation of a noise bridge during screed installation. A concrete screed at least 50 mm thick is applied directly on top of the ULTRAKUSTIK FLOOR-PLAST mixture. The screed must be reinforced with a metal structure to ensure higher mechanical strength.
