Reliable vibration protection for track construction, metro and tram systems.

From mass-spring systems and sleeper bearings to under-ballast mats – our systems sustainably optimise the acoustics along railway lines.

Rail Pads
Getzner rail pads are installed directly beneath the rail foot. They ensure better load distribution while also increasing the elasticity of the ballasted track – which has a positive effect on the wear of the track components and on ride comfort.
Baseplate Pads
Modern railway lines are increasingly being built as slab track systems. The necessary elasticity on such lines is provided by Getzner's highly elastic baseplate pads. These are installed between the ribbed baseplate and the concrete supporting slab.

Elastic baseplate pads maintain the load-distributing effect of the rail and reduce vibrations caused by wheel and track irregularities. Through a tailored stiffness distribution within the baseplate pad, the rail head deflection can be reduced as a train passes over the track.
Continuous rail bearing
Getzner's continuous rail bearing is a fully supported, elastic solution for rail foot bearing – and compensates for installation-related differences in height. The stiffness as well as the deflection of the rail are precisely defined in advance and ensured through a suitable choice of materials.

An exceptionally efficient and economical solution that helps extend the service life of all track superstructure components.
Insert pads for sleeper boots
Slab track systems require sufficient elasticity to activate the load-distributing effect of the rail. With Sonneville's LVT system, for example, the slab track is built using individual block sleepers set in a rubber boot together with Getzner's Sylodyn® sleeper boot insert pads.

An elastically mounted sleeper block offers the advantage, among others, that the additional mass – which travels along the vibration path – reduces the radiation of structure-borne noise.
Sleeper soles
Sleeper soles provide vibration protection, protect the ballast beneath the track and improve track stability. They are used on high-speed lines, on lines with high axle loads and for the refurbishment of existing lines.
Under-ballast mats
By installing Getzner under-ballast mats, you achieve a high degree of track elasticity. Vibrations and structure-borne noise are effectively reduced and the ballast is protected – and what's more: under-ballast mats are easy to handle, quick to lay and can be driven over by heavy construction equipment.
Mass-spring systems
Mass-spring systems from Getzner protect residents living along a railway line particularly effectively from vibrations and noise. The systems are used wherever protection from disruptive vibrations is the top priority.

For the bearing of mass-spring systems, Getzner offers three variants to choose from: full-surface, strip-shaped or point-shaped.

Which of these designs is used depends on economic and technical considerations. The result is both noticeable and audible. Among the numerous mass-spring systems already realised in local and long-distance transport, the lowest natural frequency achieved is 5 Hz.
