Effective protection against structure-borne noise and vibrations in buildings.

Effective protection against structure-borne noise and vibrations in buildings.

Ideal for residential and commercial buildings in urban locations – next to railway facilities or industrial sites – our systems enhance comfort and safeguard the value of the property.

Acoustic Floor Blocks
Acoustic Floor Blocks are ideally suited to high demands in the low-frequency range. They are based on the material Sylomer® and are point-shaped elastomers used beneath dry and wet screeds.

Thanks to their dynamic properties, the products are particularly suitable for creating low-tuned floors, which for years have been indispensable worldwide in recording studios, cinema auditoriums and stage construction.
Efficient sound insulation for ceilings
Stopnoise offers effective products for the elastic decoupling of suspended ceilings. With a natural frequency of ≤ 10 Hz, these enable a reduction in sound transmission even in the low-frequency range.
Compared with conventional fixing systems, these innovative products achieve an improvement in Ln,w + CI 50-2500 of up to 11 dB.
Easily decoupled with g-fit Gear
Treadmills, exercise bikes, cross trainers and other training equipment generate vibrations and noise during use. With g-fit Gear, this equipment can also be easily decoupled retrofitted, so that adjacent rooms are not disrupted in their use.

g-fit Gear is an ideal solution suitable for all types of equipment. The modular and individually adaptable system is easy to install and maintenance-free in operation.
Shock reduction with g-fit Shock Absorb
g-fit Shock Absorb was developed specifically for free-weight areas and workout zones subject to exceptional loads. Weight-drop tests in laboratories as well as in practice confirm efficient noise reduction of up to 29 dB(A).

In addition, g-fit Shock Absorb cushions sudden impacts, reducing both the force transmitted into the substructure and the rebound of weights. This protects not only the load-bearing structure but also the neighbour's nerves – while at the same time increasing the safety of the athletes.
GEPI angle connectors
During both planning and execution, sound bridges must be avoided. Alongside the highly effective Sylodyn® strips, this also includes angle connectors. Together with an established partner from the timber construction industry, Getzner developed solutions for elastically decoupled angle brackets that are acoustically tested and structurally approved.

GEPI Connect is available in three different versions. They are suitable for both timber-to-timber and timber-to-concrete connections and hold an ETA approval for reliable structural verification. High shear forces and uplift forces are thus safely transferred without forming sound bridges.
High-load elastomer bearings
Our bearing solutions made of Sylodyn® HRB HS were developed specifically for use in building construction. They provide reliable and efficient protection against vibrations and shocks within the building caused by external influences such as rail or road traffic.

At the same time, they enable the targeted transfer of concentrated loads within the load-bearing structure – for example beneath columns, walls or in pile foundations. Depending on the requirements, point-shaped, strip-shaped or individually customised variants are available.
Elastic building bearing
Effective vibration isolation to protect against shocks, vibrations and noise is essential in urban environments, where high-quality building land is becoming increasingly scarce. Constructing buildings on dynamically loaded sites calls for intelligent solutions. The main sources of mechanical vibrations are often nearby transport routes, particularly underground railway lines such as metro or suburban rail stations, which cause disruptive noise and noticeable vibrations in the surrounding structures.
Impact sound insulation
So-called impact sound is generated by the everyday use of rooms. It radiates through the floor into adjoining rooms and other storeys, where it is perceived as a disruptive noise. Parquet flooring, for example, can significantly reduce living quality in neighbouring apartments.

With effective impact sound insulation, however, the spread of sound can be minimised and building acoustics considerably improved – without having to compromise on the choice of floor covering. Particularly in multi-use buildings, structural sound insulation is indispensable.
Bearing of solid staircases
Movement within buildings – such as walking – generates structure-borne noise. This can be transmitted through walls and ceilings into adjoining rooms. A common but easily remedied source of disturbance is, for example, noise from the stairwell. The elastic bearing of stair flights and landings reduces the transmission of noise and vibration to adjacent building components.

For this elastic decoupling, planners have a high-quality technical material at their disposal in Sylomer®. It is suitable for a variety of constructions and can at the same time achieve an impact sound improvement of over 40 dB.
Steel-reinforced elastomer bearings
Steel-reinforced elastomer bearings combine high-performance PU elastomers with integrated steel interlayers to absorb high loads on the smallest possible footprint. This design enables use in heavily loaded areas, particularly where limited space coincides with high demands on load-bearing capacity and vibration isolation.

Typical applications include point bearings on columns or point bearings arranged in rows on wall panels in multi-storey buildings.
Sylodyn® strip bearings
A decisive role in the transmission of flanking sound is played by the junction insulation value Kij. It indicates the acoustic coupling of a building component junction. With the right decoupling variant, it is even possible to dispense with a lining wall.

Here, Sylodyn® stands out thanks to its dynamic properties and its durability. It is resistant to moisture as well as standard construction oils and greases and has proven itself for decades both in practice and with testing institutes. This makes it an ideal material for the bearing of building component junctions.
Sylodyn® washers
As part of the overall sound insulation solution, the bolted connection is one of the most important fastening methods. Here too, avoiding sound bridges requires careful execution as well as the use of elastically decoupled washers.
Sylomer® edge insulation strips
With its Edge Insulation Strip made from the material Sylomer®, Stopnoise offers an excellent solution for efficiently avoiding sound bridges. Even minor sound bridges can reduce effectiveness by up to 10 dB, which is why planning and execution must ensure the continuous decoupling of, for example, screeds.
Lining wall bracket
To reduce sound transmission into or out of adjoining rooms, lining walls are frequently used in drywall construction. The lining walls are mounted on Sylomer®, fixed to the walls and thereby achieve a high insulation effect.

Thanks to the elastic fixing, sound radiation is significantly reduced: the lining wall offers an airborne sound insulation value that is 4 dB higher than with common fixing systems. The lining wall remains effective even in the low-frequency range below 250 Hz.
